No one takes health more for granted than the healthy. In many parts of the world, access to quality medical care is severely limited or non-existent. With the average income at less than two dollars a day, Haiti is no exception. Just the cost of travel to the nearest medical facility is impossible for some. Compounding the problem is the fact that Haiti has one of the worst doctor-to-patient ratios in the world, with one doctor available to 20,000 in rural areas. We want to change that. By bringing consistent medical teams to those remote areas, Divinus hopes to enrich the lives of entire communities with quality, affordable healthcare.

More than half of Haitians living in rural communities lack access to clean drinking water.

An estimated 60% of the rural population of Haiti must walk at least 9 miles to the nearest hospital or clinic, making access to healthcare nearly impossible.

Over 20% of children under the age of 5 are chronically malnourished.
